Meet Sonia


I’ve always been drawn to working with my hands…that’s one of the reasons that I got into cooking 15+ years ago!

In 2009 I went to George Brown College studying Culinary Management, which lead me to work in some of the top restaurants in the city and opened a restaurant in 2016 (Pray Tell).

A few years ago I went back to school for an Integrative Nutrition course. While I was in school I started working front of house and had an itch to bake. So I started baking for family and friends... but with a Sonia twist - using premium ingredients to create handmade buttery, flaky pies filled with classic fruit flavours and unique combinations!

So… why pies? Well, my family has a tradition to go to a Niagara Falls every year. Each time we go we always stop at a market in the area and get pie, sandwiches, fresh produce and preserves. I look forward to it every time we go. I wanted to recreate that feeling I get when I go to that market through my pies!

Why mini pies? Sometimes you just want a small pie rather than a large one with leftovers for days! Or maybe you want to try more than one flavour of pie! Also… I really like cute small things, they make me smile!
